Parking
- On-street parking is allowed from 6:00am to 11:00pm. On-street parking is prohibited from 11:00pm to 6:00am. At no time shall parking interfere with through access or with snow removal operations on any street. Parking is limited to one side of the street in order to avoid blocking the street for other vehicles including larger emergency vehicles.
- Storage of any trailers, RV’s, campers, boats, snowmobiles for more than 48 hours within a one-week period is strictly prohibited unless waiver is granted by Board of Directors.
Trash & Recycling
- Grand Elk rental homes must provide weekly trash service for their guest’s use.
- Trash cans are to be stored inside the garage, or for homes without garages, stored neatly by the house, when not at the curb for pickup. Cans may be placed on the curb for pickup at dusk the day before pickup and shall be returned to the home or garage by dusk the day of pickup.
- Owners are responsible for securing trash and that cans are not overstuffed and that the lid is properly closed and secure from the wind and not subject to the lid blowing open which allows birds and critters to disperse trash throughout the development.
- Trash cans must be bear proof. Bear proof containers are available from local trash companies.
Noise & Quiet Hours
- Please be considerate of noise to avoid disturbing neighboring properties. Colorado Law considers “quiet hours” from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Excessive or constant noise can lead to
violations and fines assessed against the property owner. - Neighbors will be informed to contact local police for excessive noise disturbances and in addition, to file a written formal complaint with Resort Management Group.
Pets
- Pets within the Grand Elk community must always be on leash. Pets that are not could be reported to Animal Control as “running at large”. Pets are not allowed on the golf course.
- Pet owners need to pick up pet waste. Barking is to be kept at a minimum.
- Reports of any unattended animals should be directed to Animal Control at 970-887-2988.
Occupancy
- Occupancy limits shall generally be limited to two people per the number of bedrooms in the home, plus 4. For example, a 4-bedroom home can have occupancy of 12.
- Occupancy in excess of these limits will result in fines assessed against the property owner.
- Exemptions to these occupancy limits must be approved in advance by the Grand Elk Board of Directors
Fire & Fire Pits
- Fire danger in Grand County is a real threat during the summer months. Guests must comply with any Grand County fire restrictions or bans.
- Fire pits must be fully extinguished after use.

Grank Elk Golf Course
- Golf course areas including the fairways, greens, tee boxes, roughs, native areas, and cart paths are for use by registered golfers and maintenance crews only.
- Pet are not allowed on the golf course.
- Non-golfing activities (such as hiking and biking) are prohibited on the golf course at all times.
